| The place Santa Claus calls home | | A place where the sun never rises in winter must be mysterious indeed – mystical even, when a large, bearded man is said to emerge from the darkness on his reindeer-led sleigh bearing gifts for one and all. Thule: the erstwhile name of Scandinavia in its entirety. It would be difficult to be more accurate in pinpointing the home of Santa Claus, seeing as how one only sees him once every year. Nevertheless, Thule represents the North and the coldest season, and with it the most marvelous festivities of the year.
